Reducing Stress through Mindfulness
Being a kid isn’t easy these days. Children deal with a lot of stress, from both external sources and pressures they feel internally. This course will show students that they have the power to control their own stress levels and equip them with the tools to do so. The curriculum centers around Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction techniques. Each session will include an exercise such as meditation, mindful eating, or tai chi. This is a nine-week course.
Live Classes: Tuesdays, 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time, from August 17th to October 19th
Materials/Supplies: This course is conversation-based, and students will be expected to participate in discussions. They will be required to keep an online journal and do meditation exercises via recordings and links outside of class.
